I specialize in high quality custom affordable and straightforward outdoor portraits shot outside in scenic San Francisco Bay Area for individuals, military, musicians, friends, pets, equine, engagement, couples, family, pregnancy, newborns, children, teenagers, and more.

These are not just casual posed shots, the can include action shots.

As a member of the Photographic Society of America, the Professional Photographers of California, and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, I keep up on the latest technology and techniques in the dynamic process of photography. Location

I prefer to create all of my color and black and white portraits in the natural outdoor light. I can also capture action photographs of you pursuing your outdoor adventures for a different portrait experience


I shoot the portrait sessions outside at special locations that you select. If you are not sure where the best place would be, I will be happy to help you decide based on the atmosphere and results that you desire.

Scheduling a Session

To ensure availability, I recommend that you schedule your appointment several weeks in advance. A non-refundable retainer of at least 25% of the fee is required to hold your date. The balance of the fee, if any, is due prior to the beginning of the session.

If you are unable to keep your session appointment and notify me at least 48 hours before your session, I will be happy to reschedule the appointment and apply the retainer to the rescheduled session. If you are unable to notify me at least 48 hours prior to the original session time, a new retainer may be necessary to reschedule your appointment.

Portrait Picnics

Portrait Picnics are a fun, convenient, and financially affordable way to capture professional and creative portraiture images of your guests while they are enjoying the picnic at an outdoor location that you choose.

You choose the date of the Portrait Picnic and send the Evite invitations to your guests using Evite here. You may select an alternate method of invited your guests if you prefer.

You must invite enough guests to have a minimum of 5-10 guests attending your Portrait Picnic. Photography sessions last about 20 or 30 minutes each. I also take candid shots during the Portrait Picnic.

There are no sales or obligations at the Portrait Picnic. I post all of the images online in a personal password required gallery for guests, friends and family to view at their leisure where they can order the fine art prints they want including photo merchandise which make great gifts.

You receive a 10% commission of the total Portrait Picnic sales in form of credit towards prints from your session and, your photography session is at the Portrait Picnic is free.

Proof Previews

Proofs will be ready to view in your own personal password protected online gallery within one week after your session. Online previewing provides your family and dear friends with the opportunity to view the proofs as well.

Galleries and Files

Your photos will be stored in a password-protected online gallery for 3 months. You can order a variety of prints and merchandise from your images. Your family, friends and anyone else who you share your password with can also order prints and merchandise from your images. I save your images in a back up file on my computer for 6 months.

Prints

If purchased online, I have all images printed at a professional lab renowned for color accuracy, print quality and consistency. The images are printed on premium archival paper, specifically designed for professional photography.

I use KODAK Endura (Lustre) and Edge (Glossy, Matte) exclusively for all of my online prints to ensure the most stable, fade-resistant color print material possible. KODAK Endura (Lustre) and Edge (Glossy, Matte) are 'archive quality' papers, designed to last for generations. This KODAK paper will last 100 years before noticeable fading occurs in a typical home display, and over 200 years in dark storage.

Mounting

You have several quality and exciting choices of printing and mounting of your prized photographs when purchased online at Stephen Bruno Photography.

Fotoflōt makes your gorgeous prints float off the wall without frames. The photo is professionally printed, mounted onto 1/8" acrylic and then laser trimmed and finished, leaving a gorgeous polished edge and a print that floats off the wall. Your images explode with color and detail. There are no frames and no matting. All you see is the photograph! this is my personal favorite
Hanging is a snap - literally. You just attach the mounting bracket to the wall using the included hardware, align the magnetic cups on the back of the print to the magnet discs on the mounting bracket, and - snap - your Fotoflōt print is mounted firmly in place. When you want to display a new photo, simply snap off one print from the mounting bracket and snap on another.

Another mounting option is a heavy-duty canvas stretched and wrapped over a wood frame, then coated with a satin clear coat for UV and water resistance.

Rolled canvas makes high-quality canvas prints more affordable by eliminating the wooden frame for mounting.

Processing and Shipping

Processing and printing typically takes 3-4 business days. You will receive a confirmation email when you order online, and an email letting you know the shipping status of your prints and merchandise. If you select “economy" shipping, it will be delivered by USPS First Class Mail and is not trackable.

Under certain circumstances, it can take up to two full weeks for your shipment to arrive. Currently, it has been a week or less for my clients. If you do not receive your order two full weeks after it shipped, please let me know! I will expedite the order.

Any purchases you make are licensed for your own personal use only, any additional licensing needs to be authorized by Stephen Bruno Photography.

National Child Identification Program

According to the National Child Identification Program here, more than 800,000 children in America go missing each year - one child every 40 seconds. In these trying times, it is essential to have an identification card containing your child’s pertinent information for their person and for you.

For example, what happens if your child gets lost in your neighborhood, at a grocery store, or a large shopping mall? Your child will have the ID card to be able to show a security guard or police. You will have a similar card to show authorities who are looking for your child. Time is of the essence!

I can provide you with images of your children on a CD for your children’s National Child Identification Program ID kit. I do not charge you a sitting fee nor are there any fees or obligations for the photographs. As a parent and a grandparent, I offer this as a free public service.
